This Costco has the worst customer service, maybe in all of retail in the valley. Dead eyed associates who won’t talk to you besides to say something rude, I haven’t seen a single employee smile, the years I’ve shopped here, employees pushing pallets into customers to get them out of the way, list goes on and on.
At first I thought it was maybe just how Costco goes, until I traveled and experienced a few different stores. Now I know it’s decidedly not normal.
The other a day I was at the food court, and an elderly man in his 90s walked up to the counter and grabbed a cup, he was clearly struggling mentally, I hesitate to brand him as such but my first instinct was this was someone struggling with dementia. The associate screamed at him and snatched the cup out of his hand, and told him to wait his turn. Meanwhile this poor man was very clearly confused. I told a manager that you shouldn’t be treating an elderly person struggling like that, and she couldn’t care less, literally turned her back on me. (The female front end manager who always has her hair in a ponytail.)
Honestly, if your pay is that bad and the work environment is that hostile, why are you all still there? Why are you taking it out on your customers?
Really hope we get a winco in the future in the valley, so I can shop there instead. Wouldn’t recommend this pathetic shopping experience/store to anyone.
