As a former homeless individual of 2.8 yrs on the streets of the City of Lafayette, I often attended this ministry for assistance and/or just to be somewhere positive on a Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. The ppl running/sponsoring this organization are absolutely wonderful, compassionate, & humble beyond comparison. The kindness, understanding, & willingness to provide the above stated actions towards homeless & non-homeless ppl are really breath-taking... definitely inspired by God. These ppl don't get paid to do these things for the less fortunate...every person has freely volunteered their personal time. It doesn't really matter, or it shouldn't matter what has made the individual homeless. What matters is: {what is the homeless person doing to better themselves/situation while being homeless}? The Hub of Lafayette helps the individuals find their way to the God of their own understanding thru the positive 'get togethers' on Tuesday nights. Granted, although help/assistance is provided, the person(s) needing the assistance doesn't just get it freely. It's earned thru various types of participation of semi-church services, questionnaires, games, testimonies, or etc. I feel in (my) opinion a lot more cities experiencing needs of the less than fortunate should follow the example of this Christian Ministry Organization of The Hub of Lafayette. I definitely, most definitely, extremely highly recommend this organization to anyone seeking a personal walk with their God and/or are in need of some type of assistance. Your situation/life will only get better for yourself by you reaching out to organizations such as this one & by being persistent & consistent with your hopes for a better life. I know one FACT...my life has done a 180° turn for the better & I found my strength & hope thru The Hub of Lafayette. Be blessed ppl...don't you deserve it by now?
