I can’t say enough good things about Thanksgiving Church and the committed staff, volunteers, and congregation. They make everyone feel welcome with open arms. The congregation is friendly, genuine, and truly cares about each other—and newcomers are made to feel right at home. What really stands out is the sense of community.
This church doesn’t just gather on Sundays—it lives out its mission during the week through outreach, service projects, and opportunities for fellowship. There are ministries for all ages, from children's programs to adult Bible studies, and each one feels purposeful and uplifting.
One of their weekly outreach efforts includes providing an amazing weekly service to our residents at Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care and invite us to events and Sunday services and so much more.
Our residents say so many great things about Thanksgiving Church and the support and love they feel from them. The pastors deliver thoughtful, scripture-based sermons that are both inspiring and easy to connect with, no matter where you are in your faith journey. There’s a perfect balance of tradition and relevance in the worship services, and the music is beautiful, whether it’s traditional hymns or more contemporary selections.
If you're looking for a place to grow in your faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve others in Christ’s name, this Lutheran church is an incredible spiritual home.
Thank-you, Thanksgiving Church, for your continued support not only to our residents at Cedarhurst of La Vista, but also to our Sarpy County community and everywhere else your efforts touch!
