My mother used to attend this church, in fact when they moved to this location to start building and growing my mom bought a house in this neighborhood to be close. She tithed consistently (FOR YEARS) and attended services multiple times a week when she was busy being a single mom and a full time nurse. At her peak she was giving them thousands of dollars a month until she was forced into early retirement due to medical issues. She helped pay for the building they stand in. Her health started failing and it was harder and harder for her to make it to services on her own. At first the former deacon would come by her house to give her blessed bread after the service, the priest would still come bless her house annually. Then eventually they made a rule that if you didn't tithe you were cut off, no one told my mom about this rule and she became severely withdrawn without the fellowship and the family she had come to know. I'm reminding you that my mom lives only blocks away, no wellness check to see if she was ok, no money=not their problem. I'd say my mom hasn't been to church in about a decade not for lack of faith she also can't drive anymore... she also has lost about the last 10 years of her memory. Even her own god child never checked on her, and she also lives just blocks away. I'm disgusted by the regime that runs this BUSINESS and has left my mother out in the cold for so long. She was hospitalized and called for the priest everytime, he came up there once last year and we haven't heard anything since. My mom is having alot of neurological issues and may be in a pre-dementia stage, not having the support of the church spiritually and mentally she is worn down. How can a church exclude them because they can't afford to pay? I'm disgusted by this group of people who never even asked what happened to my mom. You pray for the homeless and the poverty stricken and sit in a 2 million dollar building my mother contributed to and she's not welcome? My mother gave her life and money and time to these people and when she was at her lowest they were not there to lift her up, you should all be ashamed if you're reading this and know Vicki Jones
