St.Anne's Parish is one of the hidden gems of Santa Fe. It is quite publicly located, on Agua Fria, although its campus is extremely large.
This is a Roman Catholic Church which has some of the most beautiful interior designs in Santa Fe. Father Brito is the head priest and the deacons are fabulous, as well. It is a church where children are welcome and it is heavily influenced by The Latino Community. Their music is often performed in Spanish, although this Parish truly welcomes all individuals.
I wanted to take photos of the interior but found it disrespectful and the timing was inappropriate.
My father was laid to rest here on September 24th, 2022. The way that we were treated was with incredible love. They sincerely saturated us with faith, hope, and love. We had a Rosary Mass prior to the actual funeral. They had beautiful singing, readings which involved our family members, responsorials, and Fr. Brito discussed my father; although he had truly only known him for a short time. They allowed a eulogy, which was read by my sister.
Saint Anne's is a busy church with many courses and classes, and truly a community. This was the first Roman Catholic Church where I began(with my husband) RCIA(The Rite of Christian initiation for Adults). This is a process whereby adults are enabled to become participating members of The Catholic Church. This is a once weekly course which is approximately one hour.
They also offer baptism, as well as offer courses for childrens' catechism. This provides sound Catholic doctrine for children to enter into the church. CCD is the confraternity of Christian Doctrine which occurs, usually, on a Sunday and teaches children the valued precepts of sound faith. The sacrament of confirmation can occur, if the recipient is at least seven years of age. These courses are also offered to adults at Saint Anne's.
Every day of the week, they either have classes, courses, confession, or Mass.
They have a large parking lot with handicapped parking. Upon entry, there are booklets and information regarding their current schedule and courses. They have two small fonts of holy water. The benches are wooden although their is padding on the wood when kneeling.
The grounds of this church are beautifully manicured and a peaceful location to pray or simply commune with The Lord.
No drinks are allowed in the church. In summer, it can become a bit warm. Nevertheless, these are unimportant when one is receiving spiritual food and participating in The Eucharist and absorbing beautifully taught lessons from Fr. Brito.
This Parish is truly dear to my heart.
