Read MoreI can’t fathom how this church has 4.8 stars besides deleting negative reviews & the fact that brainwashed people will always support a charismatic leader unconditionally. I don’t know if it’s a cult per se, but it is a complete narcissist on a stage who loves to hear himself talk but says absolutely nothing of substance in terms of a biblical message. Ask me what the sermon was about - I have no earthly idea. But there were plenty of red flags for Christians who are looking for a loving, accepting, Jesus-focused church. I was so shocked by the things I heard that I had to write them down so I wouldn’t forget them. Here are a few highlights to give you a flavor of what you can expect from this “pastor”:
“When you’re listening to a sermon, the most important thing is to listen to the pastor. And then secondly, listen to God.”
“God wants his women to be soothing, not savage & storming. God wants you to be benign & pure, not brash & poisonous. And you can be poisonous really easily & you become poisonous by being around people who poison you. But God gave women a natural ability to be loving & nurturing & pure, and that’s what he wants from you.”
*screams a random sentence & then says* “man that’s good preaching.”
“You ever just want to hit your kid with a belt? Even if they’re generally a good kid bc you’re like cmon you know better than that. That’s how God feels about us.”
He then had the congregation repeat the words “destroy” and “demolish” as he was reading a verse from Numbers.
And I couldn’t even write down exact quotes when it came to his thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community, alcohol, and birth control because I was so shocked by what I was hearing & my jaw was on the ground.
I am incredibly concerned by the number of people in the congregation who are drinking this man’s kool aid. I feel like I’m being punked.
