A true rendition of Korean Buddhist architecture set in a tropical Pacific landscape — the contrasts are striking. Ornately hand-painted soffits and rafters are a visual feast. $5 suggested donation per person when entering the Gate of Four Heavenly Kings. Though a bit frightening in sight,...Read More

Beautiful, hidden, and very spiritual Korean Buddhist Temple in the mountains of the Palolo Valley. Monuments were grand, as well as the Buddhas inside each building. Please remember to follow proper etiquette when visiting this temple!

I visited the temple on a Saturday at 4 PM and found it very peaceful with no other visitors around. Street parking was easy, and entry was by donation. The serene atmosphere brought back memories of my trips to South Korea. It's definitely worth visiting.

Located deep in the valley of Palolo. 10 minutes away from Honolulu. This Buddhist temple is run by Korean monks for over 30 years. This place take me back to Seoul. Please be respectful and donate to the temple. Always aloha

A beautiful temple set against a gorgeous natural landscape. I stopped here while on an island tour and it was a bit busy. But I still had an enjoyable and serene experience. Would visit again.
