They have a sign reading "We worship the same God" with a Magen David (מגן דוד), which is offensive to me as an Israeli-American Jew. This is not a synagogue, it is a church, and Jews do not believe in Jesus. I wrote them some time ago a long e-mail explicating why it is offensive, but to no avail--they persist in doing something that is most certainly offensive to observant/religious Jews, but also to any Jew that respects our religion and traditions and that has a sense of our history and culture throughout the ages even if he/she does not abide by Halacha, or is not religious in the strictest sense of the word, or is even a secular Jew.
However, since I am definitely a proponent of free expression and free speech, even if it's egregiously offensive to others (which their sign definitely is), I hope that Google will also respect my right to voice my opinion here about their offensive sign and will *not* remove this review (whereby I am doing precisely what this church is doing--exercising my right to free speech and expression). Free speech for all, or for no one at all. Fair enough? Thank you.
