I was a member there beginning in 1969 until my ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 1975. I was one of the many members at that time who are profiled in the book written about the congregation, " The Church that Takes on Trouble." There was also a film made about the church, "The Heart Cannot Run."

But if you see that in spite of the flaws in that first congregation and this congregation, an amazing amount of good is done, then this congregation may be for you.
