I have been attending this church for over 5 years, but my experience on 6/29/25 completely changed my perspective. They had Bishop Michael Pitts as a guest speaker, and what I witnessed was heartbreaking. He humiliated several people publicly, forced others to go to the altar against their will, and came across as arrogant and belittling. The entire congregation seemed confused and uncomfortable by the way he treated people.
What disappointed me even more is that no one in leadership spoke up or stepped in. Shame on the pastors and leadership for allowing this behavior to happen unchecked. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever attended. Nowhere in the Bible did Jesus force people to the altar or belittle them into obedience — He led with compassion, kindness, and integrity. This man’s actions were not a reflection of the Word of God; God’s Word is being twisted to justify behavior that is hurtful and harmful. I can no longer support a place that permits this kind of treatment. I will be making sure my family and friends never attend here.
Adding to the concern, a Facebook post was made days later by the admins, celebrating the service as if it had been powerful and transformational — completely ignoring the harm and discomfort that actually took place.
