I think what makes this church so great is that it is so easy for someone new, especially folks that maybe have been out of church for a while, or even brand new to church, to visit & feel immediately comfortable. There are so many stereotypes about "church"... boring, judgmental, condemning, hypocritical, always asking for money, etc. You just don't feel any of those at Grace River. They say from stage, "It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done... you're welcome here." I've had lunch with both of the main Pastors... and they really are "what you see is what you get" people. They are the same on Monday as they are on Sunday. Just real people. The worship services are only an hour long, right on the dot, with 3 services to choose from, and are upbeat, with a great band, and the messages are super interesting, and beneficial for life. No yelling & screaming from the pulpit... like I grew up with.... just relatable biblical truths, how to apply them and how to make improvements. Emphasis is put, not on trying to achieve some impossible level of living... but rather on just helping you figure out what your next step should be and how to take that step. I love this place! My wife and I have attended for 2 years now. Best church we've ever been in.
