This church has flaws.. that's because it is staffed by, run by, preached from by and attended by people who are flawed, (and before you get triggered, I'm one of the flawed attendees).
Can this church get things not quite right from time to time? Absolutely, but that's not maliciousness, that's humans doing their best to serve God, and making mistakes.
Let me be clear that I am NOT speaking for the church on this review, these are my opinions, and if they offend you horribly, you probably are giving me more credit than I am due, but that will be YOUR choice.
Let's talk about the free food..
A lot of it is really good stuff.. there may be some frozen products that are past their "sell by" date, but are still edible. Remember, "sell by" means just that.. it is the date that stores have to SELL their product to a paying public that is going to demand and expect a certain degree of quality and freshness. "sell by" does NOT mean "has to be eaten by".
That being said, SOME of the foodstuffs are a lil shaky in the quality department, but can still be eaten. If someone is looking at choosing between starvation and stale bread, my guess is that the stale bread will look pretty palatable.
Look, I realize we are not talking about a lot of high quality 5 star foods here, but for Pete's sake, we actually are talking about a life saving blessing being looked at cross eyed for not being "good enough." Some of the stuff wouldn't be my first choice to eat, but if my choices were that or hunger, my perspective would adjust proportionately.
On to the "LGBTQ NOT WELCOME".
This is blatantly FALSE.. EVERYONE is welcome here.
What this church does NOT do is change Scripture to align with society. So has, is, will this church say homosexuality is sinful? Yup, it sure will. And yes, there may be some people that attend that are maybe a lil jerky in their approach to that Biblical belief (again, I remind you that humans are flawed), but ultimately the LGBTQ movement is ungodly and sinful and our pastor says it.
Guess what else he says? He says that God's word calls Adulatory a sin. He says God's word calls drunkenness' a sin.
Lying? Yup, God's word says THAT'S a sin, and the Pastor says it.
A pastor's job is NOT to be popular, or the "cool pastor" ..honestly it's not a pastor's job to even LIKE everyone.. it's his job to LOVE God's people and PREACH THE WORD OF GOD, regardless of how offensive people may find it.
As a matter of fact the Bible PREDICTS a time when people will be offended by it, calling wrong right and right wrong (seems like that should get peoples attention and make them realize that perhaps there's not as much time left as they think , and that NOW is a good time to GET to a Bible believing , preaching church.
Look, I'm just saying this is a REAL church, that will challenge you weekly.. what you do with that is completely your choice, but if you wanna hear about the REAL God, and not the modern day "Buddy Jesus", come on down!
