I have attended First Presbyterian Church for more than a handful of times with my girlfriend, who was my introduction to the church itself. With us both being runners, we would meet up here for services on our non-race days with myself making that drive up the Pali Highway from Honolulu, and her driving up the street from Kaneohe. This Presbyterian, was also the first Presbyterian church I attended too. Prior to visiting the church, I had never been to a Presbyterian church because it has always been Baptist churches, which was what I grew up attending as a child. Now living in Chicago, I now attend Edgewater Presbyterian Church, and have been part of it for years, but First Presbyterian will always be remembered as that initial experience with an other than Baptist church. While attending First Presbyterian, our Sunday's would consist of church services in the morning followed by lunch at Ko'olau kitchen after, which always was a our time to mingle with friends & others, plus enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Ko'olau mountains from the window which I dearly miss now living on the mainland.Thomas G
