Read More15 years ago, when this was CITY CHURCH, when I was a new believer I really liked Judah Smith - how funny he can be, while delivering seemingly good messages, there was a time when I went to their weekday services with other friends. One thing that was slightly.. bothersome was how when the offering time came, the guy in front gave such eloquent compelling messages on giving we were just compelled to give 'offering' money (these weren't even Sunday church services - but weekday gatherings).
Time goes by and I come to be more discerning and Judah Smith and this whole 'church' more and more goes astray.. Totally coming to be about the "prosperity gospel" (get Jesus and you can get 'your best life now' - fully of wealth and prosperity). Have you seen the clothes and other stuff Judah Smith put on each week? It seems like each week he's gotten new more expensive clothing and items (when there are millions of Christians around the world are in need to be helped).
I would just ask you one thing - before ever visiting this "church" PLEASE.. ask a discerning Christian/Pastor what they think of this group first before visiting. (BTW, they've teamed up with TD Jakes who denies the trinity)
