I went to a conference-wide meeting at this church who donated space for us. They also provided lunch and snacks.
There are restrooms at the back of the church that have very skinny doors making me think it is an old church but it is so well maintained that it looks new. The other restrooms are of normal size. They had just replaced the narthex rug. They expanded the walls of the front of the church outwards to create a coffee bar area so members and visitors can become acquainted. They have a medium sized sanctuary with LCD screens up front along with a AV console that the are in the process of updating. There are plenty of parking spaces.
The director of youth was very friendly and was proud to show off her church. There is a drum set in the chancel area. The stained glass windows were made by a church member. There are well over a hundred children in the daycare program. There were signs indicating to people to be patient when they answer a locked door during the week so security must be tight. They need to ring a door bell to get in. There is kid art all over the church.
They have a good sized basketball court. In a separate room there is a modern looking meeting room with WiFi. They have plenty of tables and a projector.
The minister was very friendly and accommodating as well as the members.
The only drawback is that it helps to have a map of the place to find it, especially if you come in from the west. It was on my phone app so we didn't have much of a problem.
Progressive church, great members.
