Best Buy has been great and we've had a totaltech membership for about 2 years now and our LG Fridge we bought 19 months ago under total tech broke last night, ruining most of our goods. I contacted best buy, they scheduled a technician visit within the following week and now we will have a repaired fridge, no hassle, covered under our best buy plan.
PS The compressor broke in our LG Fridge. LG knows that their compressors have a problem and numerous customers have reviewed them poorly, but they haven't done anything to address it. I took a gamble on one of their French door fridges because the price was right and there were enough positive reviews that I felt okay with the purchase. The compressor broke 7 months after the warranty expired. Coincidence??? I don't know, but I don't think I'll be buying an LG Fridge after this one until they fix that ongoing problem. Seriously! This shouldn't be a reflection on best buy, but unfortunately Best Buy is contracted with them so I'm hoping they ditch LG for a better quality fridge brand. Just being honest.
