UPDATE:
We went Friday night and had a fantastic server, Kathy. (I think that is her name. I hope it is as I am telling everyone to ask for her when they go!) She was fast, pleasant, and kept things moving at our table. ( a big thank you to her helper, who was consistently removing plates and refilling water.) We did not wait long for drinks, the re-orders of crab were served steaming hot, and she had a great personality. If we would have had this server the last time we were there -- the whole bad ordeal would have probably been avoided.
I am glad we went back as I know every restaurant has an off night. I think we will probably be going back again this Friday night.
Enjoy it while you can as the greyhounds will not be racing much longer.

Very, very disappointed. We made reservations a week in advance. 12 people from four states celebrating my 50th Birthday. It was BOGO and we opted for the all you can eat crab legs. The buffet was unimpressive. Big salad bar, but hardly anything on the "hot bar." The carving station was replaced with desserts, so the options are very limited. That was fine, we were all together and enjoying each other's company.
I ordered a watermelon martini. Server returned and said they didn't have watermelon vodka. I said, "I'll have the mojito." She came back and said they couldn't make that because they were out of ginger beer. Um... there isn't ginger beer in a mojito, but okay. I'll have a rum runner. Later in the evening, we said that we wanted to have our complimentary wines. The waitress said that she brought 3 rounds of drinks and it insinuated it was our fault that we didn't get the wine. I got up about 3-4 times to refill water glasses and remove things from the table. A couple of us went to the bar 3 - 4 times to get our own drinks.
My sister asked for her check because she wanted to go outside and watch the races. I said I wasn't ready to leave as I wanted another order of crabs. (It takes about 30 minutes to get a re-order of crabs). She brings everyone's bills!!! I said that I wasn't ready to leave, 3 girls ordered another round of drinks and I still had not received the last order of crab. Finally, she brings the crab. At that point, the dessert bar is closed so no dessert for me.
We wait and wait to get the bill that she was supposed to fix because she charged me for the martini that they did not have. We go upstairs to find her and pay --- and she gives us the bill with the martini STILL ON IT! At this point, I was so upset. The cashier tells me that she will take care of it and remove the martini and the waitress comes up and tells her that I HAD the martini. Are you freaking kidding me??? How did I have the watermelon martini? She then said that I was right.
Service charge automatically added onto the bill. Glad that I cleared my own table and got my own water.
We used to go here a lot, but the quality is just not there. Love the track. love watching and betting on the dogs, but I'd rather just eat a hotdog than to go through all of that. I know that they were short-staffed; but a simple, "I'm sorry, I am swamped" would have gone over a lot better than to argue with my family and friends. Simply not nice.
