We visited Waffle House for breakfast and it was our first experience at this iconic diner. As soon as we walked in, we noticed its classic American diner style, complete with stools at the counter and an open kitchen facing the dining area. It's a nostalgic setting that seems rare these days.
Despite the restaurant being full, we managed to snag a seat for my wife and me. Looking at the menu, we were surprised to find fewer waffle options than we expected, given the name of the restaurant. I ordered the special, which included waffles, eggs, bread, and hash browns, while my wife opted for the plain original waffles.
Watching the cooks prepare our food was a unique experience—both interesting and a bit challenging. However, it gave us confidence in the quality of our meal. The service was friendly, and we were impressed by how efficiently the three cooks managed to handle all the orders without any errors, especially in such a small space.
The prices were reasonable, and while the place felt a little dated, that added to its charm. We both loved the waffles; they were different from any we had tried before. Additionally, there was ample parking available, which is always a plus.
Overall, Waffle House provided a nostalgic dining experience with good food and friendly service. We would definitely return!
