My mother picked The Waterfront for my birthday lunch , and it did not disappoint. The laid-back beach vibe had me feeling like I was in the Caribbean with my own family from Trinidad and Dominica — no passport, no plane ticket, just pure vibes. Staff? Warm and welcoming. Food? Hands down, absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and plated with generous portions.
We kicked things off with the fried artichoke hearts: tender, fresh, and spiced just right with chili sauce. The calamari? Light, crisp, and addictive. For mains, the Cajun shrimp with coconut rice and veggies was perfection, and the parmesan-crusted grouper with wild rice and asparagus was a total showstopper. Dessert sealed the deal: a key lime pie that struck the rare balance of light and creamy with that crunchy, homemade crust.
The views are stunning, especially on a sunny day. I can only imagine the magic of a breezy afternoon by the dock with a cold beer in hand.
Critiques? One small one. The kitchen staff’s “colorful vocabulary” drifted into earshot (a door would fix that). Still, this place is a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be back with family and guests.
