The Klamath River Resort Inn is a decent place to stay while you are in the Happy Camp area. When you first drive in, you'll be perhaps a little unimpressed, as you see a few mobile home- type dwellings as you enter. Thankfully, you will not be staying there. The Inn is a large ranch style house, and it has only 6 or 7 rooms available. The office is little more that a closet, and you start thinking that this is a less than desirable place, BUT THEN, they take you to your room, and to go through the middle of the house, and you see it... a stunning landscape, right by the river, mountains in the background, with grass so green and well kept that you could golf on it (and I saw some folks practicing their swing). There are nice patio lounge chairs to sit and soak in the view. The rooms are decent and the staff are helpful. At $85 a night, it's not a bad deal. They have ready access to lots of activities as well. They do not serve any breakfast or anything, though each room as a small fridge and microwave. They have Satellite TV, but either NO CELL SIGNAL or very poor signal. There was wireless internet that I could log into. No password. This place could easily be top notch, but they need to work on improvements. For one thing, they need a professional looking main office, with some kind of lobby---- they will need to build an addition to do this. In this new lobby, they will need to serve a continental breakfast, at the very least. Also, it wasn't clear to me that the wireless that I accessed was actually a part of the hotel or not - I may have logged into someone's private network (if I did, them I'm sorry!). The other people around me said that they had no cell access, as I said before, and only one person said they had even one bar. If there's no cell access, then they MUST provide wireless internet access. Also, that one central passageway in the middle of the house looks a little neglected. It needs to be spruced up. But all in all, the view, the room, the service were good. I would stay there again, at the same price.
