Charming little space to drink and chat, passionately kept alive by regular-cum-owner Ron, and the devoted team around him.
I first visited Hôtel Biron in pre-history (read: around 2003), and have had the privilege of returning to the bar after some twenty years in exile from San Francisco. The work of local artists still graces the walls, conversation flows as freely as wine, and an abiding love for the community echoes loudly through the many events the bar hosts.
Sporting a fabulous by-the-glass program (and a killer happy hour), Hôtel Biron offers a lovely selection of wine, vermouth, sake, and beer, all at friendly prices. If you're looking to celebrate, one should not overlook the humble "Chambong" – just don't be surprised when the staff start chanting, and everyone else in the bar seems to join in the fun.
