Since moving to the Sarasota area three years ago, it has been challenging to find quality, well made Italian food.We were greeted by our server Michael, who did a fantastic job explaining the menu and recommending specific dishes.Upon ordering, Michael served us fresh, homemade bread, served with olives, sun dried tomatoes, and a rich Gorgonzola cheese.We enjoyed a generous serving of flash fried calamari. It was light, not oily, and served with homemade marinara sauce. We also ordered the homemade meatballs, which were meaty, not the heavy breadcrumb type, and finished in a marinara sauce with shredded parmigiana.The dinners included a delicious spicy shrimp dish, veal Francaise — delicate, tender, and perfectly flavored, and the homemade gnocchi — delicious and perfectly prepared.I wish we had visited sooner as it will be become a regular spot for us when we want to enjoy quality, well made Italian cuisine.
