Bonita Bills Waterfront Café 6-1-24
I have been wanting to get down to Bonita Bills for a couple months. We wanted to try some of the food, but we also wanted to see the boat that was up on the dock because of Ian. We arrived around 3:30pm right before the rush. They had some guy playing music and people were sitting at a couple of the tables. This place had an old Florida vibe, people were very friendly, and the music was good. I could see they served food on heavy paper plates, see old school. The tables were wooden, and some were white plastic. One of the guys sitting at a table right inside the front door told us we had to go to the counter to order food or drinks. Once at the counter Maddie took our drink and food order. She was friendly and very helpful as it was our first time there. We both got the blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich. For our sides I got fries and the wife got Cole Slaw and a side order of Onion Rings with hers. I ordered a Miller Lite and the wife ordered a frozen Pina Colada. My beer was cold and the wife’s Pina Colada was very good plus they had a special two Pina Colada’s for the price of one. Our food was out quickly, and it looked so good. The Fish, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomato and Onion everything tasted fresh. The Fish Sandwich bun was fresh, and they had a Lemon and Tartar Sauce on the side of the plate for my fish. My fries were excellent, and my wife’s Cole Slaw and Onion Rings were superb. I was truly surprised that the food was that good and with the view and music playing this was a very good experience for us. Congratulations to Chef Jackson for a suburb meal. Special shout out to waitstaff Tiffanie and Kendy for helping us and making us feel at home. Our tab was around 48 dollars which was very reasonable to us. This place is not fancy but it’s clean, has great views, good food and a great vibe. Go where the locals go, they know good value when it comes to food. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars and believe everyone should try this place, it’s just that cool.
