Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch (2018)
For those who have watched the original 200’s movie featuring Jim Carrey, you will love this rendition of an old holiday classic! Illumination and Universal Pictures partnered together in 2018 to create Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch animated feature with incredible graphics and details. While there are some changes from the original movie, the base of the storyline is the same. It begins with a cranky grinch who secludes himself on the top of Mt. Crumpet. He decides the only way to rid himself of Christmas cheer is to steal all the Christmas decorations from each of the houses. With his faithful dog Max, he begins the journey of stealing the Whoville Christmas. What makes this movie different from the original is that you get to see inside Cindy Lou Who’s life and family dynamics. Cindy Lou Who has an urgent wish for Santa this year and she and her friends are on a mission to trap him, but the Grinch affects how this plan goes. In this heartwarming Christmas movie, you and your family can learn about what true holiday spirit is and have your hearts all changed by one little girl (and see some very cute animated animals on the way).
