Such a cute little spot, it feels like an oasis from the city but still super accessible. The coffee was really good! For coffee enthusiasts, and people who just like a fun drink, it covered all the bases. The space was relaxing to sit down in, the books on the shelves were all so interesting, and helped make the space dynamic and intriguing. The barista was so friendly, definitely knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job. -Nan M.
44th and 3rd Bookseller is a fairly new store, having only opened in 2017. It is family-owned and was started because of a master’s thesis by one of the owners on independent bookstores and how they can be made to succeed in this age of online shopping. It highlights the Black community and celebrates Black authors through its curated merchandise selection, book recommendations based on monthly themes, and many book signings.
