I had my wedding ceremony and reception last fall. The venue is beautiful, gorgeous, takes your breath away! We decided on the Birchgrove for our ceremony. Our theme was rustic so I didn't mind the subtle rustic touches of the venue. They provided the chairs, bales of hay for my guests along with cloth covers for guests to sit on the hay without getting dirty. They also provided the metal wedding archway we used during the ceremony, along with shepherd's hooks to hang flower arrangements from. There is not power source in the birch grove but I used a Bluetooth wireless battery operated sound system so there was no issue in terms of music and microphone. The owners were wonderful, pleasant and courteous as they ushered and directed cars on where to park. They were dressed nicely and made a great impression on my guests. There was a bridal dressing room in the barn area which was spacious enough for 6-8 girls to do makeup, final touches and get dressed. My wedding was in October and the weather was high 50's but was very sunny. There is no heat source in the dressing room so be mindful if your wedding is in the later fall months and you tend to be on the chilly side. There is a sink and running water in the dressing room as well! The bathrooms are located outside for guests but don't worry, they are some of the nicest "portable" bathrooms I've ever seen. They have light fixtures, are spacious, have sinks, mirrors and are very clean and well maintained. My guests didn't have any issue with having to use the facilities, in fact in my invitations I included a card to inform guests of the "rustic" style venue. The barn was absolutely beautiful. They provide the lighting that is strung above, the tulle decor, and mason jar light fixtures, chairs, tables and hand-made birch table number holders at no extra cost. I did have to provide table coverings and any additional decor but it was minimal cost as I brought lanterns from my own home to decorate my tables. There is an area for food buffet and plenty of dance space. The bar area is located downstairs but is kept warm with industrial heaters. My guests didn't mind going out to the bar area as it was a beautiful evening and they could admire the view of the fall leaves. They even set up a small sitting area near the bar for those who wanted to relax outside. Overall the owners were great to work with and this was a magical place to have my wedding.
