Red Roof Inn (Downtown York)
GOOD: For the price, you get a decent, clean room with some amenities. Check in was fine, the bed was comfortable. In a pinch, it's serviceable/adequate.
BAD: Services - they're really are none. Lobby coffee is only a available in the morning. No in room coffee, though in fairness it does have a fridge and microwave which I used. Location - good and bad. You're in downtown York, so there will likely be good restaurants and bars. But I heard police presence CONSTANTLY (including an unknown incident here). There was a guy screaming in their lot. Peace and
quiet is zero - you can hear neighboring room chatter too well, and all the city activity outside your door. My fridge also had a loud, obnoxious hum.
I wanted to give this place 3.5 stars for the room quality, but the noises through the walls and outside, warrants 3 at best. Coffee is also a big must for me personally, and it's annoying they don't offer it (there is no Dunkins or 7-11 in walking distance). For the low price, the room is fine, but I regret not paying the 20 extra for my spot at BW. RR Inn is fine in a pinch, but you get what you pay for.
