Very nice hotel, would stay here again. But had to take away one star. The hotel is nice, modern, and clean, a perfect overnight stop during our road trip.
But . .
The fellow who checked us in on July 30 at around 4:30 pm was the first person in my hotel history (IHG, Hilton, Marriott) that my government issued photo ID card as a military member was not acceptable as ID. He only wanted to see my "driver license". It was harder to retrieve at that time, but I accommodated him though I knew he was wrong. The employee at the desk during next day's checkout confirmed this was an error on his part, though the day before he said he was required to do this.
Next thing -- It was a stormy day and we needed to find a restaurant, which we drove to immediately after checking in. Upon returning, we see a lobby sign that says guests are invited to partake in a light meal (pork chops this time), much the way Drury Inn does. Why didn't he tell us of this? It would have saved us some trouble during a bad weather day.
The fellow was never impolite, but definitely needs some additional training.
Still, very nice hotel, would definitely return, but will realize I may need to take the lead regarding proper IDs and asking about hotel amenities.
