Book-keeping poor as 3 mgrs always asked me each week rent was due, "how much?".
Compensation of $20 off 1 week's rent for over a week mid-winter without hot water was an insult.
Mr. Zou, owner, approved of my behavior, and tolerance / pushback against crime & bad behavior by renters there. The new mgr, Troy, did not. His 'super friendly' demeanor is a facade! Troy's draconian restrictions appear to stem from paranoia and political prejudice - maybe bipolar syndrome. Drove me out!
He denied right to put 'anything' in my window, recieve mail (that owner allowed), leave a used, yet rinsed & folded cleaning rag outside of my door for pickup, and the use of my designated parking spot for my ebike (or to keep clear to get my bike into my room)! He always had to touch my debit card that I could place in reader myself, yet threw a fit when I pushed a button on it to get my reciept.
He also tried to keep me from filing a complaint with Mr. Zou, who I had to mail it to. He verified that Troy lied about taking over ownership, and about mail restrictions (which he threatened to evict me for).
Some rooms nice, some not. Neighboring property dumpster often overflowing. Good shopping nearby, bad neighborhood.
