Have stayed at The Constance and the Whitlock. Older buildings with all that comes with that. Thin walls, creaky stairs and doors, drafty, etc. Staff have been GREAT and location is perfect for walking to downtown. Service issues are: the breakfast is not worth planning on and the new heater/AC units seem to not function very well. Our stay at the Constance the heater would not work and at the Whitlock the AC seemed very weak. Maybe this will be remedied. The Whitlock was not staffed which apparently included the lounge, which was disappointing.
I try to be honest with reviews because we rely on them, as we travel quite often. We will likely stay at one of the Lenox Collection Inns again because, for us, the good outweighs the not so good. The staff and location are worth dealing with thin walls, lackluster breakfast, etc. Plus, we have gone off season and the prices are very good.
