Had a good night's sleep, beds were comfortable, and staff were very courteous, welcoming, and accommodating. I get that hotels in Vegas can fill up and not everything has to be great, but condition of the hotel is fairly poor for the Marriott brand name. Hot tub full of algae and surrounded by caution tape. If there was free coffee, it was not apparent in the lobby. Multiple doors on staircases which would be used for fire escape were missing handles or had broken handles. Bathroom door would not lock. Rather than fixing broken doors, wood was attached to keep them from latching. Very few ice makers (looked like when they failed, management just removed them rather than paying to repair.) Our room door would not close due to an issue with the threshold. The shower handle fell off. The shower/bath valve broke part way through our stay, rendering the shower inoperable. Elevators were abnormally slow. Stairwells were quite hot. While housekeeping and receptionist staff were fantastic, either maintenance staff or (more likely) management has some serious shortcomings. (Is situated under a runway, but noise was not problematic for sleeping.) Fitness room is small and not stocked with cleaning supplies or water cups. Fitness equipment was decent for the size. I appreciated having a place to stay and the price and it did the job, but beware that there are some downsides here.
