The money had not yet been given to her ex-husband and Ms. Mitchell said that there was enough time to get her share. If he refused, Ms. Mitchell said that she could litigate for an additional fee of $1000. This never happened because Ms. Mitchell stopped returning my mom's phone calls. Needless to say, my mother is out a large sum of money that she badly needed. By now, my mom's ex-husband is out of the country, and there's nothing we can do. Do yourself a favor and hire another lawyer.
