Avoid This CVS Pharmacy on Fowler & 30th Street
This location consistently provides the worst pharmacy experience I’ve ever had. It’s not in the best part of town, but that doesn’t excuse the rude and inhumane treatment of customers.
The most recent incident pushed me to write this review. I needed a controlled medication, and the pharmacist told me they didn’t have it in stock. They directed me to the CVS on Bullard Parkway, claiming the medication was available there. When I asked if they could transfer the prescription, they said they couldn’t because it was controlled, so I had to contact my doctor to send the prescription to the new location.
At the end of the day, my doctor sent the prescription to the Bullard Parkway location. When I arrived there, I was told they no longer had my prescription because it had been transferred back to the Fowler and 30th location—without my knowledge or consent! This makes no sense, as the pharmacist at Fowler had previously insisted they couldn’t transfer controlled medications. It felt like they were manipulating my doctor’s orders.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with this CVS. They are always out of stock on medications, and it’s a monthly struggle to get my prescriptions filled. They never seem to keep necessary medications on hand and always claim it will “take a day or two to order.” It’s incredibly frustrating and shows a complete lack of care for customers.
To make matters worse, the pharmacist at Fowler was rude and dismissive. When I expressed my frustration and used a swear word out of anger, she refused to fill my prescription and ended the conversation abruptly. I wasn’t looking for a fight—I just wanted an apology and accountability for their mistakes—but she wouldn’t even hear me out.
If you have to use CVS, avoid this location at all costs. The staff here are hostile, unhelpful, and seem to hate their jobs. Their 2.3-star rating is well earned. I recommend going to the Bullard Parkway location instead.
