Less crowded than West building, easier to navigate. Picasso is here. Basement floor has cafeteria with nice selection of salad, pizza, hamburger, etc.. Also the basement is connected to the West part.

Admission, tours and programs are all free. No ticket is needed. Street parking is easy on weekdays. Connects to the west building through underground tunnel, which itself is a piece of art. Has numerous restrooms, and one cafe (selections are basic and taste ok). Kid’s...Read More

This place is amazing and holds a lot of what’s considered modern and contemporary art from the late 19th century to the present day. So many iconic paintings are here. Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso, and many others. The rooftop is also cool, and as...Read More

This might be my favorite art gallery in the area. If you ever get a chance, I recommend getting tickets for any of their after hour events. The place changes a bit and they have cocktails and activities to do throughout the lobby areas.

It’s okay- I would hope their cafe opens longer, because currently it closes at 4 while the museum closes at 5. We were only trying to buy a bottle of water and couldn’t do it.

The galleries are spacious, there were many people visiting but it didn't feel too crowded. The architecture of the building is definitely a piece to be enjoyed itself, lots of triangles throughout the structure. There are many sets of triangular staircases which can be hard...Read More

The National Gallery is a must-see. The architecture is beautiful and the perfect showcase for its renowned collections. Each work of art is given its due space so going through the galleries is such a pleasure.

The National Gallery of Art’s East Building complements its Western counterpart, as the two halves represent this nation’s respect for its historical past as well as innovating for an exciting future. The eastern annex’s focus on modern art is wonderfully reflected by its modern architecture designed...Read More

East building has definitely different vibes compared to the West one. I am not a big fan of contemporary art, but it was still enjoyable. I didn't have enough time so couldn't see all the collections but I saw some amazing artwork. They have lots...Read More

We visit this museum regularly. They have very good art collections. In addition, they often organize special events to show art pieces borrowed from other famous museums. Recently, they are hosting the Impressionist Movement. They also organize kid events, like Art Detectives, to introduce art...Read More

Free museum with many different art styles, really loved the furniture section, classics as well as modern art. cafe was over priced but I guess that’s to be expected. Would have liked a cheaper drinking water option,
