Me and my mum visited the museum with pleasure, long looked at the paintings. The museum has a beautiful atmosphere, the halls are spacious, the paintings are wonderful. There is a good store at the museum, where very interested and responsive people work. We advise you...Read More

Gorgeous little museum with well-curated exhibits! I appreciated both the featured temporary exhibit as well as the selections from the permanent collection, all of which offered a great glimpse into the 20th century artistic community of the area.

Great small museum. Learn everything you ever wanted to know about weather vanes. Great flowers outside this summer by Daina Shobrys.

Did you know that Scrimshaw meant Whale Art? Come see giant pie-cutters (pizza-cutters) made out of whale bone/tooth. Guides are fantastic, in the spirit of the Cape.

I think it's a lovely museum located in two former artists' home. The woman worked in stencils and her husband was famous for his mermaids. We viewed 2 current exhibits from numerous scrimshaw artists, which was fascinating, and wood sculptures from another artist. Much of...Read More

What a hidden gem. Went with friends after they "discovered" this fine museum. Small but very well curated. A couple of special exhibits that were fascinating, almost mystical. Nice art. Interesting. The permanent exhibits are well chosen to represent the artists who own the property at one...Read More

I just so happened to spot this while in traffic, and decided to pull over to check it out. It's a very cute museum, and I enjoyed the personal tour quite a bit more than I imagined I would (considering it was a random stop)....Read More

Amazing experience. We did the self guided tour & wanted to come back for the guided but didn’t have time. Patti was very hospitable and even looked for a bandaid for me. We will be coming back!

This place has a very pleasant feel to it. The permanent exhibit shows parts of old Cape Cod and New England that made me very nostalgic. The rotating exhibits were interesting and well done. I'm told they do many outdoor events during the summer. Gifts...Read More

Excellent small art museum in a historic home. In addition to the permanent collection that includes 19th-century paintings, there is an exhibition space with more contemporary art. It’s definitely worth a visit.

A delightful museum featuring diverse local artists. Small enough to visit in its entirety in a couple of hours, but given that the exhibits are updated frequently, we'll definitely be back.
