Centennial Olympic Park
Another great day to just occupy an entire free day is to spend all day in the heart of Atlanta. Try new restaurants, go shopping, and visit historical and important sites like the Centennial Olympic park! This is a 22-acre park that was built for the 1996 olympics that were hosted in Atlanta. Even better, it’s completely free to visit from 7 am – 7 pm every day of the week! There are many attractions on the park, such as the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and the College Football Hall of Fame. There is also the famed ferris wheel you can spot from miles away that you must take a spin on while you’re there!
Savannah, GA
The historic and scenic town of Savannah, GA is a must-see for any Georgia resident. Located almost a full four hours from Atlanta, it would be wise to find accommodation or lodging. It’s also imperative you find somewhere to stay for a few nights, because Savannah cannot be seen and explored in just a day alone.
