A traveler, I got to St. Patrick's a few minutes before 8 am liturgy on 29 May, 2016 and selected an empty pew, 3rd or 4th from the altar, facing it. Soon enough a 'grand dame' entered from the other aisle and moved next to me.
Soon her retinue followed, not all at once, but finally 4 more.. Eventually she pushed me to the edge of where the kneeler stopped. I moved across the aisle. Not high on hospitality, lady.
Other than that, the priest gave a vigorous and enthusiastic exegesis on the Melchizadek/Jesus - King/Priest connection. It was worth having been pushed around.
