We had been calling different stores searching for this Apple Cider, the Corp office confirmed that many stores had it. We called about 10 stores and placed an order online to this store. We paid and set a pick up date. The next day before I went to pick it up, my wife received an email that the order was cancelled and refunded due to none in stock.
So we decided, after work, to drive to the store, in rush hour traffic, in the DMV and see for ourselves, since the corporate office confirmed this store had 60 - 4 pks in stock.
This 30 min drive from downtown DC to the store at 1pm now became a 3 hour trip from downtown DC back to our home.
We get there and go to the area where the 4 pk bottles are normally stocked. None there. We find a young female stocker and asked her. She searched and did not see them either but her digital order tracker confirms what the corporate office relayed to us, that this store had 60 - 4pks in stock.
She asked us to wait, she searched another area on the store and found them. Here is what transpired. The Apple Cider was now in aluminum CANS. CANS! The stores we were calling said it was out of stock because they were looking for the bottles also.
Maybe a closer look at the invoices would have solved this issue. I was employed in retail for over 25 years, details, details, details!!!!!!!!
Problem is people were being told it was in stock and when you ordered or arrived at the store the associates did not know it had been repackaged.
This juice is my wife's favorite. Our son brought her some during her breast cancer ordeal along with her breasts being removed. She is now 3.5 years cancer free.
It was never in stock in 5 of our local stores.
ALDI and ALDI employees have to communicate better.
Thank you to the young lady that was diligent enough to go the extra mile.
I think we have plenty.
Peace
