I was pleasantly surprised with my first ALDI trip and have been back several times since. The produce is fresher than Walmart and better priced. The eggs, milk, meat, and bread too.
They have the brown and serve rolls and turkeys and hams in for the holidays. I spent $100 on a week's worth of groceries for a large family with only a handful of items that I couldn't find, so I picked them up at Walmart. With the cost of groceries going through the roof nationwide, I recommend ALDI.
You put a quarter in the cart to unlock it, and when you bring it back, you get your quarter back. I left 2 on the ledge, in case anyone else needed a quarter, I wasn't the only one.
Recommend bringing your own reusable bags, but you can get paper or reusable there. You will bag your own groceries, that is what helps keep the cost down. The cashier did sort the groceries when putting them in the second basket, which was kind of her.
