Shout out to Sabrina, the mature adult employee working the exit door checking receipts!!! She stopped 2 passive-aggressive grown adult men from coming into the store with an ESA, which is NOT a *service* animal. A lot of you folks need to stop claiming the animal you have is a service animal when it’s an ESA, stop getting mad when employees tell you it’s not a service animal bc you know the pet isn’t a service animal.
It makes it a much better experience for all us customers shopping and the protecting the safety and quality of Costco products and shopping experience.
Sabrina did their job by protecting customers, products, the reputation of service animals and their handlers, and most importantly, Costco’s reputation. She stayed calm and stood her ground even when the men got into her personal face and up in her face. So, shout out to her.
Public folks—Leave your non-service pets (including ESS) at home.
Employees—take note on what is and isn’t a service animal and hold your ground. Sabrina knew what questions to ask that did not violate privacy or laws, and she handled it.
