Read MoreI truly enjoyed my experience at Tru Leaf. The owner has amazing layout to support cigar smokers and hookah enthusiast. The music wasn’t loud and obnoxious, the other patrons weren’t disrespectful or rude. As a cigar smoker the ventilation was still subtle to enjoy my cigar but not over barring to hookah smokers who were next to me. I applaud and commend the non-smoking area as well!!! The owner blessed me and my comrade with a personally crafted, “Rum infused cigar.”
Using the proper Cigar Aficionado rating scale of 100; I would rate the stick an 89 (very good to excellent). The notes of rum were not intrusive and the tobacco used wasn’t bad either. The deduction in points came from the leaf quality, flavor blend between the wrap and cigar, but overall a very well crafted cigar paired with a nice aged rum. I used Ron Zacapa La Armonia 23. The notes of red berries paired perfectly with the subtle sweet tones of the cigar!!! 10 out of 10 as a pairing!!! Thanks again for having us and looking forward to future visits. Lastly, the art in the bathroom was outstanding and the most Afro-centric loving piece of the entire place!!! Outstanding place!
