I arrived on 6/26 to the travelodge. I was told upon arrival that I needed a $100 deposit for incidentals. This isn’t usual at most hotels or Wyndham’s - & I only had 50$ cash. It was already nearly 8pm. The front desk attendant, Maria, demanded the deposit or I couldn’t get my room. Keep in mind, I’d already prepaid for 3 nights. I drove around town in my U-Haul to get cash , Maria refused to split the payment , wouldn’t take Apple Pay, so I had to get the entire total in cash. I don’t have a popular bank so getting cash isn’t easy. It would require me waiting until the morning. Well, despite me explaining this and having 3 days booked at the hotel , Maria denied me my room. I had 50$ in cash and she still said it wasn’t enough. So the next day I come to get my remaining reservations with cash for the deposit. I speak with the owner and explain the situation. He was even worse. He kept misunderstanding me and acting as if I wasn’t a guest at the hotel , saying things like “well i travel to and -“ ridiculous way to treat someone who chose to stay with you. Keep in mind, he also kept saying how I booked third party and that’s why I “got the rate I did”. (Last time I checked, money is money) anyways, I go to check in and he then denies me because I had made a complaint with Wyndham the night before regarding me not being able to get in my room. He said “remove the review and I’ll give you the room”. What kind of business is this???? 😂😂😂
There’s a video of him laughing and being very happy to deny me a room I paid for, blackmailing that if I retract my complaint he will maybe give me my room. Insane and waste of hard earned cash….
Would 10/10 recommend the Motel 6 or California Inn over this place.
Also weird characters walking around and the upkeep of the hotel outside was faint.
Extremely disappointing.
