We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a first class hotel. The public spaces are intimate and loaded with art. The rooms are very nicely decorated and equipped. We felt as though we were staying in our own apartment. The hotel has …

While not fancy, this two star is relatively affordable in a good location for getting around Manhattan. Located right next to the No. 1 line subway and a block from the A/C/E lines, it is convenient. Just a few steps down from the...Read More

The staff were very friendly. I had a one bedroom room- just for me and it was just the right size. The bathroom was very clean. Overall the room was spotless. The bed was firm, but I prefer that. Yes, the room does feel a...Read More
VacationSoloLocation: 510 minute walk to Madison Square Garden and Penn StationWalked back to the hotel alone at 11pm from a concert. I felt very safe.I only had the coffee here for breakfast. I don’t prefer to eat bagels or muffins for breakfast. I do wish they offered eggs!Great value

The Chelsea Hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a pilgrimage. For anyone who loves music, art, and history, walking its halls is like stepping back in time, knowing you’re treading the same floors as Janis Joplin, Edie Sedgwick, Andy …

The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for a budget hotel in New York City, although they are a bit dated. It would be great to see some modern upgrades, such as USB ports in the rooms. A...Read More

I went with my daughter to spend the weekend. We love art in all its expressions, so it was like Rashid Johnson said: "Art is an experience witness rather than just being an art observer." The rooms transport you to the 60s, the renovated...Read More

The Hotel Chelsea was an experience of a lifetime, by far the most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in. From the deep soaking tub for 2 in the beautiful marble bathroom to the turn down service in the evening with complimentary mineral …

Great location, next to the 1 subway stop and busstops. Multiple supermarkets nearby. Very clean and large room. Loved the corner room with two windows, looking over the busy streets. Breakfast is super, with fresh jumbo bagels and even bigger muffins. Don't expect a big buffet,...Read More

Room is great, slightly dated but clean, comfortable, and (by NYC standards) quite large! Appreciated the mini fridge in the room, it’s useful for storing cold drinks. The staff were warm and polite, and helped me extend my stay a night.

We stayed 10 nights at the Chelsea Savoy, and honestly couldn't fault it. It's fairly basic, but more than comfortable enough for an extended period of time. Every member of staff we spoke to were always friendly and helpful. Bed was firm but comfy, and the...Read More

Front desk was awful. Doesn't matter if your room is ready, they will make you wait until 3 pm no matter what. Lobby/waiting area is very small even though their online pics are taken at an angle that makes it look large. ...Read More

For spending as much as we did, which I guess isn’t much for NYC we were very disappointed. The bed was very uncomfortable, hard, noisy, springy. The noise from the streets was LOUD. The water from the tap ran brown initially, just yuck. Location was great, but...Read More

Beautiful, charming hotel. Away from the craziness of Times Square. Old world charm and service was impeccable. Lobby bar had a great vibe. Room was large and lovely. We will return.

First off the photos are not new. The hotel needs work. It needs a complete upgrade. ||The hallways are hot and the rooms are small. ||The safe in the room, if you can call it that is so narrow that the only thing that would...Read More

The beds are a little hard, the rooms are basic, breakfast is generally a very large muffin or bagel. But it's definitely worth it... I'd stay here again and just plan to take your own breakfast
