I, unfortunately stayed in this horrible hotel during the week of 4/23/2024.
I should have posted this a year ago. In short, my experience at this place sucked....big time.
Hampton Inn Camden, is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.
173.00 per day, it's worth no more than 70.00 per day.
I asked for a bottle of water at the desk, the clerk handed me a bottle free of charge, my second requested bottle of water cost 3 dollars, my third bottle of water cost me 2 dollars. This place is as inconsistent as it is cheap quality.
Clearly the ownership does not care about "quality". They care about how much money can be made.
The room I was in had inadequate lighting, the toilet was terrible for anyone over 5'5" the toilet is so low to the floor that anyone over the aforementioned height has to push themselves off of the toilet I am 6'3", there is no safe or clock in this room, 173.00 per day, REALLY???
What let's me know the owner or owners cut corners is the lack of quality, which is extremely low.
When one cuts corners bad results become facts, this should be the best "new" hotel in Camden, which it is not, not even close.
TV is ridiculous, no idea about the info on program one wants to watch. 173.00....REALLY??
My key card kept deactivating (4 times), I was told by one of the workers there that it can happen if the card comes in contact with a cell phone...really???
I have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime and never has a key card been an issue. Just another example of ownership creating a business with go as cheap as we can and charge customers outrageous prices for this below low quality hotel.
I totally believe the the owner or owners went 100% cheap. Here's the kicker, it's a brand new hotel, I will never ever stay here again, I had to pay 173.00 per day for this horrible experience.
To the owner or owners, you will have success as long as you are not trying to fool customers, this business will fail unless they put customers and quality first.
173.00 per day is a major rip off at this place.
Save your money and book somewhere else.
There are good hotels in Camden, Hampton is not one of them.
I would have been better off had I slept in my car rental than staying in this horrible place. BEWARE!!!
