Service from the employees was wonderful, as they are truly interested in the guests enjoying themselves. It was my actual birthday when I arrived, and not only did we get upgraded to a larger corner room (I'm almost lifetime platinum so an upgrade wasn't out of the question, and it was ready early - thank you), but the hotel management had a split of champagne and a HUGE slice of cake awaiting me in the room (see picture). The cake was amazing! Thank you.
Loved the space in the bathroom.
Loved the location, as it was a 5-minute walk to the activity on Broadway; we were able to enjoy the afternoon, go back and shower, then go out again for dinner and a few cocktails.
Room had a slight odor to it that I couldn't place--they don't allow pets, so it wasn't that....
Not happy that the room attendant put the clearly stained (albeit clean), fitted sheet on the bed (see picture). Yes, I could smell that the sheet was clean, but totally not right that it was not 'removed from service'. Regardless of the hotel brand, but especially a Renaissance.
Additionally, we were told by one employee the attached store/coffee shop was open 24 hours; when we asked 4 employees later that afternoon to confirm, we were told by all 4 that it opened the following morning (Saturday) at 7:00. When we left the hotel at 5:30 in the morning, the store was open. No biggie, but we had a 10-hour drive home and had to plan the day prior and it would have been easier to know what time the store REALLY opened!
The young man at the valet (not hotel-affiliated) was AWESOME! You could tell he was "a good kid", working the midnight shift. I reviewed him separately.
If we return to Nashville, we would stay there again, but I would expect better consistent (yes, consistent) service.
