Dealing with the Hartford has been a countinous, ongoing downhill battle. Simply attempting to get FMLA leave for my grandma required me having to go through numerous hurdles, and then once finally accepted, only 2 months later they require more information because supposedly I was only approved for “flare ups” and not appointments, even although on the letter from the doctor it specifically states “YES” to “Does or will the patient require assistance for basic medical, hygiene, nutritional needs, safety, or transportation”
Transportation is required to go to appointments just an FYI!!!
The staff at the Hartford are extremely difficult to work with and can’t seem to comprehend that not all of us have a set work schedule, like myself who is a ups driver and gets off at a different time every day. There website is also very difficult to work with even with “good” WiFi, and will sometimes not let you proceed with selected options. It would not allow me to pick flare up option, so I instead choose appointment, and now they’re trying to revoke my leave unless I get a NEW doctors note specifying I’m approved for appointments as well. This company is a total joke 👎👎👎👎
