My first visit in an Amazon Fresh grocery store.From the design, to the atmosphere and the products, everything seemed very well thought out. I do however have little things to critique and therefor I rate it 4 from 5 stars.What caught my attention positively:1. everything was very clean and sorted.2. you have two options. Either you walk in with your installed app, you can scan the code and enter with your shopping cart; everything you put in your shopping cart will be scanned and when you leave, you can just leave the grocery store by scanning your phone again. Literally in and out with no cashier. Option two, you enter without scanning code and go grocery shopping like your used to. Almost already sounds old fashion as i am saying it. Well done Amazon for implanting it so well!3. the design seemed minimalistic, stylish and comforting.4. almost every aisle had an employee for support and inbetween the aisles they even had Alexa boxes you could talk to for more customer service. This was very impressive!What caught my attention negatively:1. same as many other grocery stores I’ve visited in the US; it is unfortunately still difficult to find vegan options. They had one dedicated „plant based“ area for cheese and such. As far as the rest goes, you were left to search and read ingredients on the back of all the products. I currently live in Germany, and here; many grocery stores have dedicated areas with all the plant based options available. If it’s cheese alternatives, milks, Joghurts, snacks chips or even cold cut alternatives- it is not much of a search. Less time consumption and frustration.2. when I was asked by an employee „everything ok so far, can I help you with anything“ I took this nice offer and placed my question. „I am looking for some things to take back home, like snacks or candy for an example; but I am having a hard time finding vegan options. The employee replied with „yeah.. that’s pretty tough, it’s pretty much scattered in the whole store, good luck finding what you need“ . I ended up buying a lemonade to quench my thirst, an Amazon fresh shopping bag for the memory and unfortunately left the store almost empty handed. Maybe one day, there will be dedicated areas and it will be easier to find vegan friendly food, drinks and Hygiene products.Conclusion: In general, an awesome store, just difficult for Vegan costumers. 5/5 for non vegans 3/5 for vegans = average 4/5.Enjoy the pictures and videos.
