You never know what you'll find at UNC surplus. It usually includes lots of filing cabinets, bookshelves 3-ring binders, laptop cases, and office chairs, but I've also seen framed pictures, building materials, sturdy dorm-type furniture, dishes, lab equipment (including microscopes on occasion), medical office furnishings, bulletin boards, old electronics, Christmas trees, and even some new, *big* Nike cleats. The best way to shop here is to drop in occasionally and see what has shown up.Prices are very low, as most items are used, though some are new. The folks who work there are nice as long as you are nice to them and don't make silly, unreasonable demands. This isn't retail, it's surplus.
