Thrifting is a hobby, when I am on the road with my band. Stopped in this goodwill to check out what they had. Been to hundreds of them, figured why not. They had a couple of ‘45 records I was interested in. Pretty common. I pick them up at most goodwills for about .25-.75 a piece. I was told by an employee and a manager that I either had to buy ALL of them or none. Was denied a sale if I didn't buy all of them. They’re excuse was they where bundled in a ziplock bag and where not priced individually so they could not be sold that way. So let me get this straight, they where too lazy to price them individually so they slapped em in a bag and priced them outrageously. Who is going to spend that kind of money on a bag of ‘45 records that have mostly paper weights in its contents. I wonder how many sales have been denied at this store because of lazy management and employees. I heard Danville and Chatham where crapshoots, but this proves it. No wonder most of the area is in poverty. Even goodwill tries to rob them. Glad the other stores locally felt differently. Spent almost $100 on vinyl and games in Lynchburg. Oh well. My recommendation, Drive to lynchburg if you want hard working employees and to actually buy something. And dont give me the “It helps hard working employees with hard histories and backgrounds. No it doesnt. Half your stuff either goes on the internet or employees buy to flip. The company average pay is 12 an hour part time. Support another store, especially Chatham. Chatham will make you buy the store or nothing at all!
