So at first impression, I thought how nice, that's cool.
Now, my review.
I was greeted by a nice young lady who seated me quickly. My waitress was Nikki, and she promptly took my order, which consisted of the breakfast platter with chicken sausage and the blueberry and lemon curd waffle. I also got an order of fried green tomatoes and an earl grey tea. I didn't have a long wait; it probably took 7 to 8 minutes, and my food was brought out to me. Everything looked good and tasted good, but my chicken sausage was barely warm. Uh oh. I don't like being served cold food. So I brought this error to Ms. Nikki's attention.
She apologized and told me she would make the correction and bring me a new patty. The fried green tomatoes were hot, fresh, and crispy with a delicious and savory goodness. Yumm. The potatoes were seasoned well, but they tasted flat. My waffle was sweet with the blueberry compote and lemon sauce. It needed no syrup. That's how good it tasted. And while I was enjoying my meal, Ms. Nikki brought my chicken sausage patty. It was hot and also tasted really good. I was now very happy, like a well-fed baby.
Water Street Waco Co. is a true delight. The restaurant is cute and nostalgic and respectfully quiet for its guests. The servers were all attentive and in constant motion with no time for leaving the customers waiting. They all were professional and on point, and I greatly appreciated the wonderful customer service they provided. Everyone I saw had a smile on their face.
